SENIOR PEOPLE ADVISOR

Location: Regional Office based in Nairobi, Kenya

Scope: Bangladesh, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Pakistan, South Africa & The Gambia

Contract Type: 24-month Fixed Term Contract

Monthly Salary: circa KSH435,094 Gross, depending upon skills and experience

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, over 5 working days; 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday with a daily one-hour break

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Senior People Advisor, supporting our teams across Africa and Asia Area.

What you’ll be doing

As our Senior People Advisor, you will be a vital part of our HR operations, providing proactive and professional support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with managers and employees, ensuring effective HR practices that are compliant with regional requirements. This role requires someone who can work independently with a commitment to best practices.

  • In this role you will be able to:
  • Manage your own ER caseload, end-to-end; providing expert advice and resolution in line with policies and local employment legislation.
  • Support the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, and offboarding.
  • Collaborate with global HR colleagues to drive consistency and share best practices.
  • Use data and insights to provide reports and recommendations to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Technically minded with an understanding of systems

What you need to have

  • Worked as a Senior HR Advisor or HRBP within a busy, confidential and results focused environment
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices in multiple countries
  • Ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions, and manage competing priorities – including casework load.
  • A working knowledge of technology and systems (Microsoft, and experience with a HR system to manage and analyse data).
