Location: This role can be based in any of the following locations - Cyprus (Larnaca), Kenya (Nairobi) or South Africa (Centurion), hybrid working
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months
Salary:  Circa €25,528 per annum if based in Cyprus / ZAR 413,001 (South Africa), KES 224,152 (Kenya) depending upon experience
Hours: Full Time

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is an organisation dedicated to honouring and caring for the graves and memorials of service members who died in the two World Wars. The work of the commission is not only out on the field, but in our head office too, which contributes to the meaningful commemoration of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

About this Role and You:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in HR administration, HR systems, payroll or reward processes who enjoys working with data, improving processes and supporting colleagues across a global organisation.

In this role, you will help maintain the integrity of HR data, support the administration of HR systems, assist with payroll and reward activities and produce reports and dashboards that support effective decision-making across the organisation. You will also act as a key point of contact for HR system queries, working closely with the Area HR teams and HQ colleagues.

To be successful in this role, you need to have: 

  • School leaving certificate with passes in Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and English, or equivalent.
  • Significant experience of working in HR administration, HR systems, payroll or reward processes within a global organisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as you will be working with our international offices.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, IF statements, data validation, conditional formatting and data analysis techniques. 
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience producing reports or dashboards from multiple data sources.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise completing deadlines.
  • A high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone, Power BI, plus a degree in HR or Business Administration would be considered an advantage.
